Voiceover Basics
Set up and fine-tune AI voiceover in the Bevyl editor so your message sounds clear, natural, and on-brand throughout the video.

Setup
- Sign in to your Bevyl workspace.
- Open a project that was created with the Voiceover audio type. You can see this label on the project card.
- The voiceover track is generated automatically when the project is created. No additional files are needed to adjust it.

Step by step
1. Open the Audio panel
In the editor, click Audio in the left panel tabs. The panel opens with a Fine-tune your sound header.

2. Adjust voiceover volume
Under VOICEOVER VOLUME, drag the slider to set the level. The range is 0% (silent) to 400% (maximum boost). Click Reset to return to the default level.
3. Review the script
The SCRIPT section shows the voiceover text used for your video. Read it to confirm the message matches your intent before regenerating.
4. Regenerate the voiceover
Click Regenerate voiceover to produce a new voiceover audio track from the current script. The editor updates the timeline track when generation completes — the button label returns to Regenerate voiceover once the new audio is ready.
5. Add or replace audio (optional)
To add a background track, sound effect, or replacement voiceover file, click Upload Audio under ADD AUDIO and select your file. Uploaded audio appears as a separate track in the timeline.
If something blocks you
- Audio panel not visible: Make sure you are in the editor (the URL starts with
/editor/), not the create or project list view. - Regenerate voiceover is unavailable: The voiceover is still generating from the initial create. Wait for the timeline track to finish loading, then try again.
- Volume changes do not stick: Save your edits by exporting or navigating away from the panel; the slider state is saved automatically when you leave it.
Done
You are done when the voiceover volume is set to your target level, the script reads as intended, and the timeline plays back the updated audio without issues.
