Use AI Suggestions and Apply Changes

Generate an AI edit, review the suggested structure and captions, then apply the version you want to keep.

Setup

Sign in to a workspace that has at least one project with source videos uploaded.
Open that project in the editor.
Source videos must already be in the project — Bevyl uses them to generate the edit.

Step by step

1. Open the project

From Projects, open the project you want to improve.

Choose an existing project with source videos, not the Create project card.

2. Open the Edits panel

In the editor, click Edits in the left panel bar.

The Edits panel opens. Under CURRENT EDIT, you see the name of the AI edit that is applied to the timeline. Click View insights & captions to review it, or scroll down to Regenerate your video to generate a new one.

3. Generate a fresh edit

In Regenerate your video, type your direction in What type of video should we create?.

Set Duration and Audio, then click the submit arrow in the prompt box.

Bevyl starts generating a new suggestion. If your source videos are still processing, generation waits until they are ready.

4. Review the suggestion

On the CURRENT EDIT card, click View insights & captions.

The insights dialog shows the video idea, Video Structure, duration, audio type, clip count, and ALTERNATE HOOKS AND CAPTIONS.

5. Apply the edit

If a suggestion in PREVIOUS EDITS is not yet current, click Apply on that card.

Bevyl shows Applying AI edits… while it updates the timeline, then confirms AI edits applied successfully!.

6. Try another hook or caption

After an edit is applied, open View insights & captions again.

In ALTERNATE HOOKS AND CAPTIONS, click Use this on another option to make it current.

If something blocks you

No videos found to suggest edits: add source videos to the project, then try again.
Apply is missing on a card: that suggestion is already the CURRENT EDIT.
Failed to apply AI edits: keep the editor open and try again; if it repeats, contact support with the project name.

Done

The AI suggestion is applied to the editor timeline and shown as the CURRENT EDIT.

Next actions:

Preview the timeline from the first hook.
Open Export when the edit is ready to share.

AI edit not applying?

Contact Bevyl support if a generated edit appears but does not apply to the timeline.
