Generate Your First Video Draft
Turn raw source footage into a polished, ready-to-edit AI video draft in minutes — choose a format, add your videos, and let Bevyl build the first cut.

Setup
- Sign in to the workspace where you want to create the draft.
- Have source footage available in
Source Videos, or files ready to upload before you start. - Decide which format you want to use so you know whether the draft needs a voice, original audio, or a trending sound.
- Keep the tab open after you click
Start editingso you can see when the draft is ready.
Step by step
1. Open your projects and start a new project
Go to Projects in the sidebar and click Create project in the top-right corner.
Bevyl opens the project format screen.

2. Choose the format that matches your footage
On the Create with bevyl screen, select the format that fits the clips you are turning into a draft.
Narrated Story: best for b-roll, product shots, and footage that needs a spoken script.Trending Sounds: best for a quick montage-style edit set to a trending audio clip.Talking Head: best when someone is already speaking on camera.
Clicking a format card advances you to the inputs step.

3. Add your source videos
On the Which inputs do you want to use? screen, click Select videos.

The Select Videos modal opens showing your library.

Click one or more clips to select them.

Click Confirm Selection to add the footage to your project.

4. Choose a voice (Narrated Story only)
If you chose Narrated Story, click Select a voice to open the voice list.

Click a voice to select it. Voice selected. appears below the dropdown when a voice is active.

Next step becomes active once both a video and a voice are selected.
5. Describe what Bevyl should make
Click Next step to reach the prompt screen. In the What is your video about? field, describe the draft you want Bevyl to create.
Use one clear sentence with the goal, tone, and audience — for example: "Create a polished product teaser for new customers with a confident, premium tone."
Click Start editing to begin generation.
6. Wait for Bevyl to process the project
Keep the tab open while Bevyl generates the draft. This usually takes 5–10 minutes.
The page shows the project is being processed. You can also click Email me when it's done to get a notification.
7. Open the finished draft
When Congratulations, your video has been created appears, click Take me to my video.
Your first draft opens so you can review the edit and make changes.

If something blocks you
No videos availablein the picker: go toSource Videos, upload clips, then return and clickSelect videosagain.Next stepis disabled on the inputs step: confirm at least one source video is selected and, forNarrated Story, a voice is also selected.Start editingdoes not appear: confirm you are on step 3 of 3 and a prompt is entered inWhat is your video about?.- Generation seems slow: keep the tab open. Typical generation is 5–10 minutes.
- The finished video does not appear: contact support with the project name and the time you clicked
Start editing.
Done
You now have a complete first draft ready to review.
Next actions:
- Open the draft and adjust captions, cuts, and pacing.
- Review your format choice if you want a different style of video.
- Create another project with a more specific prompt once you see what Bevyl generated.
