Raindance x Goth

What is the Raindance x Goth trend?

A general-use sound, no set format. The Raindance x Goth mashup by ASCEND layers Dave's "Raindance" (feat. Tems) with Tame Impala's "New Person, Same Old Mistakes" into a moody, atmospheric backing track. It works as a soundtrack for slow, visually confident footage. Brands use it for place or product b-roll that benefits from a cool, unhurried register without a text-overlay format driving the content.

Origin

The "Raindance x Goth" sound is a mashup produced by a TikTok creator operating under the name ASCEND (also credited on Spotify under the alias "studiojenna"), uploaded to TikTok around March 11, 2026, and published as a Spotify single on March 24, 2026. The mashup layers two source tracks: "Raindance" (feat. Tems) by British rapper Dave, released October 23, 2025, as the fifth track from his album The Boy Who Played the Harp; and "Goth" by Sidewalks and Skeletons, a British dark electronic producer whose track appeared on the 2015 album White Light. Dave's "Raindance" went viral in the UK between late 2025 and early 2026, reaching number one on the UK Singles Chart during the chart week ending January 29, 2026. ASCEND combined both pieces into a single moody, atmospheric audio file, setting the Afroswing warmth of "Raindance" against the dark ambient texture of "Goth." The resulting sound was adopted widely for restaurant and venue showcase content, where creators use it to signal a cool, atmospheric aesthetic in dense urban food scenes.
