The lip-dub variation using the "flow state" caption emerged in early November 2025, with @realgriddyjones posting the earliest known iteration on November 11, 2025, reaching over 3.7 million views. The trend applies the psychological concept coined by Mihály Csíkszentmihályi (a state of total absorption in an activity) to trivially specific everyday scenarios for comedic effect.
