What we've built so far in 2026

A roundup of everything that shipped in Bevyl since the start of the year — audio crossfades, Ken Burns zoom, inline transcript editing, brand enrichment, trends, and a lot more.

We've been heads-down shipping since January. Here's everything that's landed.

Ken Burns zoom on video clips

You can now add smooth zoom-in motion to any video clip in the editor. Pick from presets or dial in your own start/end framing. Gives product shots and B-roll that cinematic push without leaving Bevyl.

Audio crossfades between clips

Talking head cuts used to sound choppy. Now Bevyl detects when adjacent clips are from different takes and blends the audio at the seam. Continuous takes are left alone — no unnecessary dips in the middle of a sentence.

Inline transcript editing

Click any word in the transcript panel and edit it directly. Fix names, product terms, or anything the transcription got wrong. Captions update automatically.

Brand enrichment reviews

When you enrich your brand context, Bevyl now shows you a review screen with suggested updates before applying anything. You can see which assets informed each suggestion and approve or reject changes individually.

Browse trending audio and formats inside the create wizard. Trend cards show a "Great for..." summary so you can quickly find what fits your brand. Pick one and Bevyl aligns your footage to it.

Add-on credits

Hit your AI suggestion limit? Paid teams can now buy add-on credit packs without upgrading plans.

Faster page loads

We went through the entire app and optimized database queries, reduced payload sizes, added indexes, and moved assets to CDN. The editor, project list, and dashboard all load noticeably faster.

Background uploads

Uploads now move into a sidebar status panel after you start them. Keep working on your edit while footage processes in the background.

Editor history

The History panel got a full redesign. Snapshots show in a scrollable list with one-click restore, so rolling back is faster.

Onboarding v2

New accounts land in an updated onboarding flow. Add your website as brand input, skip uploads if you want, and Bevyl builds a usable brand context from what you give it.

Brand color picker for captions

You can now set caption colors directly from your brand palette. Pick your brand colors and apply them to text styles without manually entering hex codes.

Image overlays

Drag and drop images onto the editor canvas and position them anywhere on the video. Overlays stick where you put them.

And a bunch of fixes

  • Autocaptions now apply across the full video, not just within a single block
  • Format previews start muted so browsing is quieter
  • The create wizard prefills your selected videos instead of jumping straight to the editor
  • Editor timestamps use consistent formatting across views
  • Voiceovers auto-mute source audio, but background music doesn't
  • Exports show friendly error messages instead of technical ones
